Arrival in Entebbe
Private arrival transfer, an easy evening and a clear briefing for the route ahead. We use the first night to ensure the journey begins comfortably rather than at speed.
Complete private Uganda circuit
For travellers who want Uganda’s full range without compromising the pace: Queen Elizabeth’s open country, Kibale’s forest energy and Bwindi’s unforgettable mountain gorillas.
The journey
Uganda’s best journeys have contrast, but not chaos. This ten-day route moves from the green crater-lake country around Kibale to Queen Elizabeth’s savannah and Kazinga Channel, then into the forested hills of Bwindi for gorilla trekking. Each chapter has more than one night so the holiday does not become a parade of check-ins.
We tailor the order around permits, road conditions, internal flight preferences and the time you want at each lodge. It works particularly well for guests who value elevated stays, private guiding and enough quiet time for the experience to land.
Day by day
Your final version follows permits, lodge availability and the connections that best protect the experience.
Private arrival transfer, an easy evening and a clear briefing for the route ahead. We use the first night to ensure the journey begins comfortably rather than at speed.
Travel west with a private guide, stopping well along the way for lunch and comfort. Reach the Kibale region in time to settle into the lodge and enjoy the crater-lake landscape before the forest activity.
Track chimpanzees with the ranger team in Kibale’s dense forest. The encounter is lively and unpredictable, made richer by the other primates and birdlife around you. Keep the afternoon light or add a gentle activity according to your energy.
Continue south toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. The landscape opens as the route approaches the Rift Valley and the safari changes character. Settle into your lodge with time for a first game drive or a slow afternoon looking over the park.
Explore with your private guide at first light, following wildlife rather than a fixed circuit. Later, cruise the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, elephants, buffalo and a huge variety of birds gather along the banks.
Use the extra night for another game drive, time in the Ishasha sector when conditions suit, or a more unhurried lodge day. This flexibility is what lets a private safari respond to sightings, weather and how you feel.
Travel south into the forested highlands around Bwindi. We treat this as a purposefully paced transition with good stops and an early-enough lodge arrival for you to rest before trekking.
Attend the park briefing before your ranger-led trek to a habituated gorilla family. The route and conditions vary, so the rest of the day remains clear. Return to the lodge for recovery and an evening of genuine forest stillness.
Choose a second trek, a slower community experience or time at the lodge. We build in this day to give the gorilla experience more context and allow the journey to feel settled rather than relentlessly active.
Return by private road or internal air arrangement to connect with your departure. The route can continue naturally into Rwanda or be followed by a Kenyan, Tanzanian or beach extension.
Good to know
Before you decide
It allows the three most compelling regions to feel coherent rather than compressed. The additional nights also offer flexibility around wildlife, weather and individual energy levels.
Yes. We can combine private road travel with flights when that creates a more comfortable or efficient final route for your dates.
It affects privacy, room configuration, setting, service and how restorative the time between activities feels. We explain the practical difference clearly rather than simply presenting labels.
