Private Tanzania safaris

Tanzania safari packages with the right amount of time in the right places.

These are complete private itineraries, not fixed departures. Start with a route that already works, then refine the parks, season, flights, accommodation level and daily pace around your travellers.

03Mid-range, luxury or high-end options
04Clear route advice before booking

Choose with context

A package should make the decision easier, not hide it.

Tanzania is not one safari experience. The northern circuit offers a natural first route through Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti; Nyerere creates a river-led southern alternative; Katavi and Mahale are for travellers who want distance, low visitor density and chimpanzee tracking.

Every journey below has a complete day-by-day itinerary. We adapt it around wildlife conditions for your dates, realistic transfer times and the quality of stay you want—not a pre-selected lodge list.

What changes the journey

The decisions that matter before you book.

You receive a route that makes the practical choices visible: when to fly, where to sleep, how long to stay and what the safari can realistically deliver in your season.

01

Season changes the Serengeti, not the quality of your safari

Migration position is considered, but the route is never dependent on one promised crossing. Resident wildlife, camp location and time on the ground matter every day.

02

Driving days need an honest rhythm

Some routes are strongest by private road; others benefit from scheduled light aircraft. We explain the trade-off instead of filling the itinerary with transfers.

03

Comfort is more than a room category

We compare camp position, privacy, guiding, room type, access and service before suggesting suitable stay options.

04

The best route begins with your actual priorities

Photography, young families, anniversaries, mobility, beach time and a first or repeat safari all change the right starting itinerary.

Travel style

The same Tanzania route can feel completely different depending on how you travel it.

Wildlife and photography

Protect field time, private vehicle use and the chance to follow a sighting when conditions are right.

Couples and celebrations

Choose privacy, atmosphere and a pace with more room for the moments between game drives.

Families and private groups

Build sensible drive times, room configurations and experiences that work across different ages.

Tanzania planning questions

Clear answers before you commit.

If you already have dates, we can advise on the most suitable route and accommodation level directly.

How many nights should I allow for Tanzania?

Seven to ten days lets a northern circuit breathe. Shorter routes can work when focused on two areas; western Tanzania or Zanzibar additions need more time.

Can these routes be tailored for different comfort levels?

Yes. The route gives the framework; we then compare accommodation, private guiding, flights and room configurations at the level that fits you.

When is the best time for the Great Migration?

The movement changes throughout the year. We advise on the Serengeti region that matches your dates while keeping the route rewarding beyond a single wildlife event.

Should I add Zanzibar?

Yes when you can give it at least three nights and want a real change of pace. We compare beach area, tides, transfer logic and privacy before recommending the right fit.
