The journey

A short route, properly edited.

A shorter safari still deserves a properly designed route. For 4 Days Express Safari, the route is deliberately paced through Arusha, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The focus is on a small number of strong experiences and sensible travel times, so you spend more of the itinerary in the landscapes you came to see. Each stop is chosen for what it adds to the journey.

Private guiding keeps the day flexible, and we can adjust the accommodation level to make the limited time feel comfortable, personal and worthwhile. 4 Days Express Safari can be refined around your dates, room requirements and the experiences you want to prioritise.

Day by day

The pace of the route.

Each day is intentionally balanced between meaningful time in the field and the space to enjoy your stay.

Day 01

Arusha Airport Pick-up & Tarangire Wildlife Drive

Meet your private driver-guide at Arusha Airport to initiate your safari. Journey directly into Tarangire National Park, celebrated for its ancient giant baobab networks and dense seasonal elephant populations. Spend the day traversing river loops to locate predators and specialized birds. In the late afternoon, exit the park boundaries and head up into the Karatu highlands to relax at Marera Valley Lodge for an open-air dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 02

The Ngorongoro Highlands Transit to the Central Serengeti

After an early breakfast, ascend into the misty Ngorongoro Conservation Area, utilizing the rim road for a panoramic view of the caldera before descending the outer slopes into the short-grass plains. Cross the border seamlessly into Serengeti National Park, immediately commencing game tracking through the Central Seronera valley—a premier hub for leopards and cheetahs. Retreat at dusk to Embalakai Serengeti Camp for dinner beneath the stars.

Day 03

Serengeti Morning Game Drive & Transit to Ngorongoro Rim

Embark on a golden dawn game drive across the Seronera plains to find large prides of lions returning from night hunts. Return to camp for a hearty late brunch before packing up for a final exit game track out of the park lines. Wind your way back toward the high altitude country, ascending to your perch directly overlooking the crater wilderness. Check into Ngorongoro Rim Lodge for a cooler evening along the volcanic shelf.

Day 04

Crater Caldera Floor Exploration, Maasai Culture & JRO Departure

Descend the sheer 600-meter volcanic walls onto the crater basin floor at first light. This self-contained biosphere offers your cleanest opportunity to complete the Big Five, showcasing black rhinos alongside heavily protected hyena clans and golden jackals. Following an early picnic lunch, ascend the rim, visit a local Maasai cultural village, and begin the drive back down to the plains, dropping off directly at Kilimanjaro international Airport (JRO) for your flight home.

Before you decide

Useful answers, without the sales pressure.

Are these prices the total cost of the trip?

No. The figures above are planning ranges per person, per day—not a fixed trip total. Your proposal will reflect the exact season, route, accommodation choice and number of travellers.

Can I mix mid-range, luxury and high-end stays?

Yes. Many excellent journeys combine levels of accommodation intentionally: for example, an accessible lodge on arrival, a more immersive camp in the Serengeti, then a standout final stay.

Are the accommodation options always available?

Availability changes with season and lead time. We show three appropriate starting points for each destination, then recommend live options that match your dates and room requirements.

Can this itinerary be adapted for my dates and interests?

Absolutely. The structure is a considered starting point. We can adjust the pace, add nights, change regions, add a beach extension or refine the balance between wildlife, culture and rest.
